TRANSPARENT ARMOR TECHNICIAN
11 YEARS with O'Gara | Army Veteran
I'm seventy years old and served in the 101st Airborne and 478th Combat Engineers, so they call me the "Old Soldier." Back in 2007, my brother told me about how O'Gara armored vehicles for the military. I started as a machinist and moved to the glass plant. I've worked every station on the line and know the process from start to finish. Now, I'm at the end of the line, where I inspect the final product and pack it for shipping.
My favorite part of the job is the people. These guys pick up where my friends in the service left off. We're like a little family. Like any job, it can get hectic, but we keep it fun and laugh a lot, and then we drive on.
